Hello, hello!
Iām a UI/UX designer, and recent interaction design graduate from Northeastern University in Boston.
I've worked at LevelUp (which was actually acquired by Grubhub while I was there!), where I led the design of an iOS and Android application for Frutta Bowls, a cafe chain with 40+ locations. I collaborated with multiple restaurant chains to support their custom branded apps by designing and coding a variety of interface visuals and marketing materials.
In 2019, I spent my summer as an intern at Cogo Labs, one of Cambridge's top startup incubators. I worked on a cross-functional team, designing and testing features for internal tools that helped our employees reach maximum efficiency.
I realized I wanted to become a designer at my first hackathon.
Throughout my life, I have always been one to think through multiple factors before landing on a final decision. I like to look at all the cards on the table, scratch my head a bit, and alas holistically reach a conclusion. This trait translates well to design thinking.
At my first hackathon, my team was tasked with the challenge of creating a tool that promotes productivity. I naturally assumed the role of our team's designer, recording our problem statement, whiteboarding, and encouraging my teammates to start brainstorming.
As I drew out wireframes, I remember feeling satisfied with the journey it had taken to reach that point. I really enjoyed the fact that there was a reason for everything I was sketching; our designs were intentional and had solid rationale.
I have held on to this feeling, and have since learned that it is actually quite addictive. I value thorough, considerate design greatly, and strive to make all the work I do as mindful as possible.
My free time is occupied with dance, food, and friends.
Iād love to chat over a nice cup of hot chocolate and discuss anything related to design, Netflix series, or British boybands that have broken up.
